The story of Cortina Plumbing
Coming from a plumbing family with a grandfather and an uncle in the trade Nick started his plumbing apprenticeship at just 16. He kicked things off with all the tough, repetitive jobs (yep, lots of digging!), but that’s how he learned the ropes. In his early twenties, like many Kiwis, Nick decided to head off on his OE. He spent a few years in London working as a commercial plumber on large-scale projects, then moved to scorching-hot Port Hedland in Western Australia. Fast forward to 2015 Nick settled in Sydney with his French Canadian partner Sophie and took on a new challenge as a foreman for a medium-sized plumbing company. The experience was huge, and after a few years he was ready to head home and start something of his own.
That’s how Cortina Plumbing was born in 2019. The business was built on hard work, a strong attention to detail and a passion for customer satisfaction.
You might notice Jasper cruising in the work van with Nick. He has been on countless jobs but usually naps through them all.
Why the name Cortina?
Nick’s dad, Kevin, has been building Ford Cortinas for years so when it came time to name the business, Cortina just felt right.
